Fairweather Fish Values

  • Family Harvested

    Carefully harvested by our family + small crew aboard FV Fairweather. We are small, husband and wife owned + operated Alaska fishing business based in Sitka, Alaska.

  • Blast frozen at sea

    Immediately blast freezing at sea results in a premium flavor + texture -- plus, all our fish is sushi grade!

  • Hook + Line Caught

    Harvesting by hook + line allows us to opeate sustainably: both in ensuring every fish over the rail is handled with TLC, and safely returning out-of-season catch to the sea.

We will keep pre-orders open until October 1st! That said, some species do sell out before then. Pre-orders are fulfilled (packed) in the order they're received.

The schedule varies a little every year; but our goal is always to begin distributing pre-orders the second weekend of November. 

This is the soonest possible date as our fish does not arrive in Idaho until the last week of October, or first week of November. We are often packing orders right up until pickup day!

In 2026, we are hosting Idaho pickups in: Boise, Eagle, Nampa, McCall (with stops in Council and Cascade), Sun Valley (Hailey), and Twin Falls.

You will make a 50% payment to reserve your box. Our website will hold your card info, and we will automatically run your card for the remaining balance on November 2nd (first Monday in November). 

We will send out multiple reminder emails before running your card for the balance, in case you need to make any updates or changes.

Yes! We can ship via UPS ground to the western US, UPS air nationwide, or Alaska Air Cargo to select cargo ports. If you live outside of our UPS ground range, or have larger order, Alaska Air Cargo may be the best option. Send us an email at hello@fairweathersalmon.com for more information.

If you plan to eat fish twice a month for a year, our suggestion is:

10 lbs for a family of 1

25 lbs or a family of 2

50 lbs for a family of 4

75 lbs for a family of 6

100 lbs for a family of 8

If you plan to eat fish once per week, double the poundage for each family size. Estimate is based on an 8 oz per person serving size.

Unfortunately, we aren't able to accommodate early pickup. We host pickups as soon as possible! Typically, we've only fishing packing orders the day before pickup!

We can't confirm final pickup details until our fish is en route, on schedule, from Alaska to Idaho. We've made the mistake in past years jumping the gun, of setting pickup dates and then having to change them - which is confusing for everyone! So we generally hold off until we know your fish is headed to Idaho, on schedule, for us to pack + prep your orders.
